Resumo
Convective heat transfer after combustion of gaseous fuels, which are used in modern refinery tube furnaces, was investigated numerically. The influence of the fuel composition on convective heat transfer and the effect of substituting methane by other fuel types in furnaces designed to work on gas fuels were considered. It was shown that substitution of methane fuel by the other investigated gaseous fuels decreased the convective heat transfer in the furnace convective chamber. Convective heat transfer was influenced mainly by the fuel type.
