The article discusses the problem of protection minority languages is in Spain. Documents of a legal and administrative nature, articles of the central and regional press served as the material. Description, analysis, synthesis and generalization were used as research methods. The study concluded that the situation in the regions of Spain depends on the political will of local administrations, which do not always succeed in pursuing a balanced language policy.
