On English Loanwords in the Articles on the 2022 French Presidential and Legislative Elections (based on “L’Obs” Magazine)

Resumo
The article deals with features of English loanwords used in the articles on the 2022 French presidential and legislative elections. The main types and functions of loan words are analyzed based on Anglicisms and Americanisms from “L’Obs” magazine. The analysis shows that loan words are generally used as a means of nomination and evaluation. Stylistic devices based on English and American loan words contributing to the expressiveness of the text are considered.
