Political Reasons for the Decision on Economic Reform in 1957 in the Ussr

The article examines the period of the mid-1950s, when N. S. Khrushchev was preparing a reform of industrial and construction management. The haste of N. S. Khrushchev in carrying out management reform, the ill-considered nature of its important aspects are noted. The reform of N. S. Khrushchev aggravated the relationship between the members of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the CPSU. The party leader needed social support in the person of regional committee secretaries, who as a result of the reform became not only political, but also economic leaders of their regions.
