This article is devoted to the study of the service of Tatars as a part of the Life Guards of the Crimean Tatar squadron (1827–1864): the size of the salary of officers and lower ranks was established, based on the materials of the formulary lists for 1856, an average portrait of an officer was compiled, provides information on the armament and uniforms of the ranks of the military formation under study, the combat path of the Tatars during the Russo-Turkish War of 1828–1829 and the Crimean War of 1853–1856. Special attention is paid to the biographies of representatives of the Mufti-zade clan – Batyr Celebi and his son Ishmael, who were the most striking and significant figures in the Life Guards of the Crimean Tatar squadron.
Статья посвящена исследованию службы татар в составе Лейб-гвардии Крымско-татарского эскадрона (1827–1864 гг.): установлен размер жалованья офицеров и нижних чинов, по материалам формулярных списков на 1856 г. составлен среднестатистический портрет офицера, приводятся сведения о вооружении и обмундировании чинов изучаемого военного формирования, рассмотрен боевой путь татар в ходе Русско-турецкой войны 1828–1829 гг. и Крымской войны 1853–1856 гг. Особое внимание уделено биографиям представителей рода Муфтий-заде – Батыра Челеби и его сына Измаила, являвшихся наиболее яркими и значимыми фигурами в составе Лейб-гвардии Крымско-татарского эскадрона.
