Abstract
К третьему поколению внутриматочных контрацептивов относятся гормонсодержащие внутиматочные системы (ВМС), из которых наибольший клинический интерес представляет левоноргестрелсодержащая внутриматочная рилизинг-система «Мирена» (ЛНГ-ВМС), сочетающая в себе свойства гормональной и внутриматочной контрацепции.Основной механизм действия «Мирены» реализуется на уровне эндометрия, в котором создается высокая концентрация ЛНГ. Медленное высвобождение гормона из резервуара приводит к истончению слизистой оболочки матки, атрофии эндометриальных желез и, как следствие, к снижению функциональной активности эндометрия.
