Аннотация
Combined whole-body positron emission tomography (PET) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) provides high-contrast imaging of soft tissues in combination with quantitative assessment of levels of absorption of a radiopharmaceutical. New technical solutions for PET/MRI have provided a large field for scientific studies. One significant difficulty is that of overcoming the challenge of assessing correction for the attenuation (attenuation correction, AC) of positron radiation by human soft tissues using MRI data. This literature review assesses existing principles for data acquisition using combined PET/MRI.
